Chicken Tabaka

Chicken tabaka is one of the most famous dishes in Georgia. This dish is made from chicken that is fried using a certain technique in a traditional wok, namely tapa.

The technique used when cooking is quite unique. One needs to flatten the chicken over the pan and then press it down with weights. When the technique is done correctly, the chicken will be crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside.

Wow, imagine how crunchy and juicy the chicken is when you bite it. Yum! To make it more complete, this dish is served with rice or fried potatoes.


Mtsvadi is a traditional food made from shish kebabs on skewers. The manufacturing process is to marinate the meat in a mixture of lemon juice, pomegranate juice, tarragon, salt, pepper, and chopped onions to produce tender and juicy meat when grilled later.

The meat used usually uses pork, goat or beef. This dish is even more delicious when accompanied by tkemali plum sauce, raw onion rings, sliced tomatoes, and pomegranate seeds.


Khinkali are Georgian dumplings which are one of its national dishes. This steamed food can be filled with meat, mushrooms, cheese, cottage cheese, or boiled potatoes. The Asian influence understandably shows up in this dish. If interested in trying it, try to learn the technique of eating khinkali properly.


The first typical Georgian food is a restaurant dish that really makes you drool. This dish is called Lobiani, this food is quite light when you come to this Russian state.

Lobiani is a food made from fermented milk together with a mixture of nuts which is suitable for the Indonesian tongue. The shape is round or semi-circular, with a thickness of 1-2 cm, making this cake the same as moonlit cakes in Indonesia.


For those of you who want to fatten your body, you can eat food with the basic ingredients of bread and a mixture of boiled potatoes and melted cheese in it. This dish is called Khabizgina which is typically made by residents of the Ossetia area, Georgia.


It is a flour-based food, or rather a flat bread, almost the same as Italian pizza. There are several types of Khachapuri, including:

khachapuri acharuli (boat shaped, medium part cheese, half boiled egg)
khachapuri imeruli (round like a pizza, the top is plain, the inside is a layer of melted cheese, served together with slices of pizza)
khachapuri penovani (boxy, filled with melted cheese and wrapped in a thin layer of crispy skin).


For those of you who are on a meat diet program, you can enjoy cute and unique foods that are round with vegetable ingredients. Stuffed vegetables include spinach, walnuts, beans, beets, carrots, eggplant combined with corn or flour bread. There is a mix of toppings along with sliced cherries and sliced apples. This food is served with a little sauce or mayonnaise if it actually gets a little bland.

Badrijani Nigvzit

Another one of Georgina’s special foods which is very good for diet programs, namely Badrijani Nigvzit, which is a food made from eggplant which is finely combed and then fried and mixed with walnuts and then a strong onion spice is added so that the aroma stimulates the nose to eat it. You will meet Badrijani Nigvzit if you enter a restaurant as a party appetizer.
